Design Indaba is a South African magazine dedicated to the creative industry covering graphic design, advertising and illustration etc... Marian Bantjes was asked to design the front cover of Design Indaba in June 2009. The way in which Bantjes breaks up each letter with a line of colour is something I haven't investigated myself. I tend to leave the type black or white overlaying it on top of a fill/block colour. Maybe I should take Bantjes' idea and develop it further in my own type work.
